The adidas NMD has been around since 2015 and there are now many different versions available. Here we present just a few of the most popular NMDs:

adidas NMD R1: This is the original version of the NMD and served as an introduction to the NMD line. The R1 features its signature EVA block element in the midsole and Primeknit upper. In addition to the new adidas NMD S1 and G1, the German sports giant is releasing more colourways for the Nomad R1.

adidas NMD R2: The NMD R2 built on the success of the R1 and refined the design with a revised midsole and a new pattern in the upper. The EVA blocks were less noticeable and the upper had a more structured look.

adidas NMD XR1: The XR1 added a tighter lacing to the classic NMD design for a better fit. The XR1 also had a cage design in the midfoot and often a striped pattern in the upper.

adidas NMD CS1 (City Sock): This version of the NMD had a sock-like, boot-like design without laces. The CS1 was known for its minimalist upper and comfortable fit. In 2023, the NMD is still a hip shoe that fans won't want to miss.

adidas NMD CS2 (City Sock 2): The CS2 built on the CS1 and kept the lace-less design. It had a new upper material and often striking patterns or colour gradients.
