The silhouette is inspired by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman's service in the 10th Mountain Division during World War II. Therefore, they also resemble traditional military boots.

Inside the Nike SFB 6″ Leather Boot is a comfortable Nike Free midsole, making the boots more comfortable than almost any other boot. The upper, on the other hand, is made of high-quality nubuck, and the Swoosh adorns the backs.
