Soon, New Balance brand ambassador Coco Gauff will receive her first signature sneaker. The label has confirmed this with the official pictures. New Balance Coco CG1 is said to be the tennis star's first signature sneaker, and we’ve taken a first look at the pair.
"The entire team at New Balance, from design to marketing, really cares about me as a person and not just as an athlete, and that relationship has allowed us to create the Coco CG1," Gauff said. "I signed with New Balance at such a young age, and I am excited to continue working with them for a long time to come! The Coco CG1 is a vintage-look shoe with a modern twist, and I'm so excited to get it into shops and see how people style it."
The upper of the New Balance Coco CG1 is made of a FitWeave Lite material. We're particularly struck by her father's quote on the right toebox, "You can change the world with your racket," while the left one is given the coordinates of the park where Gauff played tennis as a child. Other highlights include FuelCell cushioning for energy return and NDurance rubber for more traction on the court.
When You Can Buy the New Balance Coco CG1
The New Balance Coco CG1 is set to hit shelves in just a few weeks. They are currently planning a drop on August 26th at newbalance.com as well as at selected retailers.
