Over the past few months, New Balance has dominated the release calendar with impressive footwear. The sporting goods manufacturer managed to do so with Stray Rats, JJJJound, Rich Paul, and other notable partners. The list may soon grow by another iteration, as today insiders have revealed an artistic New Balance 2002R reinterpreted by Bryant Giles.

The LA-based artist and designer opts for a green makeover and colourful embroidery with strange facial features. The design of the Bryant Giles x New Balance 2002R is then completed with a subtle "what now?" lettering on the heel, alluding to the work recently presented at Miami Art Basel.

But it's not just the details that are brilliant, but the construction of the Bryant Giles x New Balance 2002R also enhances the shoe. It is made entirely of olive green canvas, and the N logos on the side can be replaced thanks to a Velcro fastener. Finally, a light-coloured midsole and a dark outsole follow.
