Jordan Brand is set to expand its collaboration roster with more big-name artists in 2022. Rumour has it that the label is set to drop a revamped Air Jordan 2 with the help of Chicago-born artist Nina Chanel Abney. This sneaker features the popular Chicago Bulls colour palette and also has special details.

Nina Chanel Abney experiments with modern art and tackles issues such as race, pop culture, homophobia, and contemporary politics. Now, the 40-year-old artist reportedly has created a new Air Jordan 2 with a bright base and red hits.

The Nina Chanel Abney x Air Jordan 2 is made of fine leather, with reptile overlays in the middle section. Further forward, grey suede then adorns the sneaker, while the heels are adorned with red caps. Below, the soles feature a similar colour palette, and the sneaker is complemented by a special hangtag featuring a Michael Jordan-inspired artwork by Chanel himself.

The two partners are reportedly planning a larger collection alongside the Nina Chanel Abney x Air Jordan 2. Unfortunately, no further details are known, but we can supposedly expect a drop on 8 July 2022. Until then, take a look at these images.
