Rui Hachimura's Air Jordan 36 "Global Games" Pays Homage to his Japanese Roots
In the winter of 2021, Washington Wizards' Rui Hachimura and Jordan Brand released an Air Jordan 8. Now, the duo are now expanding their collaboration with a collaborative Air Jordan 36 "Global Games", which has now been confirmed with official images. With a classy upper and special details, the sneakers are reminiscent of Hachimura's Japanese roots.
The upper of the Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 36 "Global Games" comes in a make-up of dried leather. In between, the red details shine on the eyelets, kanji characters, and midsoles. There are mismatched logos above the midfoot, as the right shoe is adorned with a Jumpman logo, and the left side features Hachimura's Samurai logo. This particular logo was designed by his mother in honour of Hachimura's family name.
The hidden elements are also given a thoughtful colour scheme. Inside, there are cherry blossom and mountain graphics, and the special shoe box features the NBA basketball player dunking.

Jordan Brand has not only released the official images of the Rui Hachimura x Air Jordan 36 "Global Games", but also announced a first release date. The shoes will be released in a few regions on May 23rd.
