TOP SNEAKER RELEASES WEEK 35
Air Jordan 7 Retro "Miró"
Our highlight of the week is the Air Jordan 7 Retro ‘Miró’. With this release, Jordan Brand is bringing back one of the most extraordinary AJ7 colourways ever, which first appeared in 2008. The design draws inspiration from Joan Miró’s famous sculpture ‘Dona i Ocell’ in Barcelona, featuring numerous red, yellow, blue and green accents on the predominantly white leather upper.
The details also reflect this unique story: Michael Jordan’s Olympic jersey number 9 appears on the heel, whilst multicoloured elements, graphics on the outsole and the coloured heel tab complete the eye-catching look. The Air Jordan 7 Retro ‘Miró’ is set to be released on 24 August for €220.
Nike Mind 001 in 6 frischen Colorways
This week, Nike is expanding its futuristic Mind 001 range with several new colourways. Particularly eye-catching is the ‘Cucumber Calm’, which bathes the slip-on silhouette entirely in a soft pastel green and combines it with chrome Swooshes and Barely Volt accents.
In contrast, the “Old Royal” takes a decidedly more classic approach, featuring a rich blue with metallic silver and midnight navy details. A clean “Summit White” version is also being released. Common to all colourways is the unusual outsole with its 22 visible foam spheres, which makes the Mind 001 one of Nike’s most unusual new models. The new Nike Mind 001 colourways will be released on 27 August, priced at €90 each.
Nike Book 2 "Tiger Camo"
The Nike Book 2 ‘Tiger Camo’ showcases Devin Booker’s signature trainer at its wildest yet. Orange, black and dark green form an aggressive tiger camo pattern across almost the entire upper, extending in places as far as the midsole.
This marks a clear departure from the series’ otherwise rather understated colourways, which are usually inspired by vintage or desert aesthetics. The result looks almost like a cross between a performance basketball boot and an outdoor trainer. The Nike Book 2 “Tiger Camo” is set to be released on 27 August for €150.
