45 Years of Rocky - This Is How Diadora and Foot Locker Celebrate the Saga's Anniversary
Do you follow boxing or like to watch old classics on TV? Then you're sure to love this new pack from Diadora and Foot Locker. The two partners have put together a three-piece collection that celebrates the 45th anniversary of the "Rocky" saga. The sneakers are inspired by the epic opponents that Rocky Balboa defeated.
Rocky trained hard to box against Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang, and Ivan Drago. For the collection, illustrator Keith Shore from Philadelphia uses a bright red, patriotic colours, or light shades like sky blue. In addition, the names of the opponents and special hangtags adorn the tongues.
Other details include graphics that point to the legendary films. Some scenes of Creed, Lang, and Drago are depicted on the insoles, while the famous silhouette of Balboa with arms raised (based on the real Chuck Wepner) are stamped on the sides.
