In addition to numerous Nike SB dunk releases, the Beaverton-based brand works on collaborative sneakers with renowned artists. For their next project, Nike has enlisted illustrator and artist Todd Bratrud.
The latest pictures show a Nike SB Dunk High that uses an unusually weird colourway. The name comes from the marijuana variety, "Strawberry Cough". But, don't think about the normal strawberry for now. With Strawberry Cough, even the most experienced smoker can get a strong coughing fit. The plant owes its name to the strong smell of strawberry.
However, the sneakers themselves are based more on the name. A two-part upper in red and green is a reference to the strawberry. The funny and coughing strawberries on the insoles and the heel are an allusion to the plant. A semi-transparent sole completes the overall design.
