adidas TERREX Free Hiker "Made to Be Remade" - Recyclable Sneaker Goes on Outdoor Exploration

Do sneakers really have to end up in the trash after some time? No! adidas has now introduced a closed life cycle for shoes. First they are new, then they are worn, and at the end, after they have been worn through, they are "melted down" and made into a new shoe.

This is achieved through a newly developed base material made of recycled stuff. The upper, the torsion bar, and even the glue that holds the individual parts together are made of the new material. You can track it all with the unique QR code on the tongue.

Now, adidas is exploring the great outdoors with the advanced material, designing a recyclable adidas TERREX Free Hiker "Made to Be Remade" and apparel made from PrimaLoft Insulation and Parley Ocean Plastics. The sneaker is made of a lightweight Primeknit upper and a comfortable Boost sole underneath.
