This adidas Forum Low Honours Basketball Legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Even though legendary basketball player Kareem Abdul-Jabbar hasn't been on the court for ages, he's far from retired — at least in the context of footwear. The former player is now teaming up with adidas LA to honour his "retired" Lakers Jersey.

In order to successfully realise this idea, the two partners have gone back to the classic adidas Forum Low, whose standard materials have been exchanged for this special release. The usual leather has been replaced by a synthetic material and is thus strongly reminiscent of the aesthetic of the basketball jersey. This is further enhanced by the use of the characteristic perforations of the uniforms.

Purple colours are used on the laces, the lining, the typical Three Stripes, and a printed "33", thus completing the entire design. The two collaborative partners have really succeeded in creating a resemblance to the jersey worn by the legend.
