Images of an incredibly rare sneaker are circulating on the web again. Detailed shots of the Acronym x Nike Dunk have surfaced, and the founder of Acronym himself shares it on Instagram. Here, you can take a closer look at the sample.
What the images mean is unclear so far. According to the post, the designer is in fact reminiscing. The shoes first appeared in 2009, when they were produced specifically for an Acronym photo shoot, as Jesse Leyva revealed in a The Complex Sneakers podcast. I wonder if the sneakers with Maharam's premium materials will be released at some point?
Nike and Acronym continued to work together for a few years after the sneakers were made. Errolson Hugh also helped lead Nike ACG's comeback from 2014 to 2018.
