Partnership Between Kobe Bryant and Nike Is Over
Rumour has it that the collaboration between the late basketball player Kobe Bryant and long-time partner Nike is now over. This is because sources have noted that Kobe's contract with the giant sporting goods company expired on April 13th, marking the end of an exciting and great relationship.
Kobe Bryant, who initially had a contract with adidas from 1996 to 2003, signed the all-important deal with Nike nearly 18 years ago and has continuously released sneakers, apparel, and accessories with the Beaverton-based brand.
When the Los Angeles Lakers legend passed away prematurely in 2020, interest in the Nike Kobe brand intensified. However, the upcoming drops that have been announced recently will be the last drops and mark the end of the relationship.
Nike has also officially issued a statement on Kobe Bryant, and it only confirms the end of the partnership, "Kobe Bryant was an important part of Nike's deep connection with consumers. He has driven us and made everyone around him better. Even though our contractual relationship has ended, he remains a deeply loved member of the Nike family."
