One Single adidas Sneaker Will Not Save the Planet

The Herzogenaurach-based company is expanding its vegan range with four new sneakers, and with the new iterations, adidas Originals wants to convey a very important message. The adidas Stan Smith, Superstar, Continental 80, and the Supercourt want to tell everyone that message.

Each sneaker has the words, "This shoe alone will not save the planet" printed on the back, and in other places, we find a "The Clean Classics" tag with a recycling symbol — a symbol that stands for its vegan construction. In addition, adidas marks the insoles with "PRIMEGREEN. Made with recycled materials."

Each sneaker is made of vegan leather and 100% recycled polyester lining. The whole thing sits on a sole consisting of 90% natural rubber and 10% recycled rubber. The Continental 80, on the other hand, has an algae-based sole.
