Pharrell Williams Is the New Creative Director of Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton had big shoes to fill after the passing of its Menswear Creative Director, Virgil Abloh. Luckily, the iconic fashion label has just announced that Pharrell Williams has taken the reins. Williams will certainly provide Louis Vuitton with a vision for the future, as he is a respected industry veteran. After all, Pharrell's name was probably on many lists to be considered for the role due to his past successes and abilities in the music and fashion industries. 

 

Pharrell Williams is indeed a powerhouse in the fashion industry. His myriad successes range from his status in hip-hop and as a producer to his collaborations with luxury brands. Streetwear has seen explosive growth and is making its way into high-end fashion, and Pharrell will be the voice that helps this phenomenon come to life.

 

He is now the second African-American director to be named Louis Vuitton's chief designer, following Virgil Abloh in 2018.
