Nike Kobe 4 Protro "Philly": The return of a tribute to Kobe Bryant's roots

Kobe Bryant was one of the greatest basketball players of all time, and his legacy will forever be linked to the City of Angels and the five NBA championships he won with the Los Angeles Lakers. What many don't know: He also had a special connection to the Philadelphia region, where he grew up and attended Lower Merion High School. That's why we're so excited for the possible return of the Nike Kobe 4 Protro "Philly" in the summer of 2024.

First released in 2009, this USA-inspired shoe perfectly captures the spirit of Bryant's hometown. The predominant color "Varsity Royal" makes the shoe a real eye-catcher. However, the "University Red" on the collar, laces and lace bar also give the shoe a cool look. The white Swoosh on the side rounds off the design perfectly. But another highlight of the shoe are the reflective 3M stars and Bryant's birth date, which is written on the insole. Nike hasn't confirmed the Kobe 4 Protro "Philly" yet, but insiders claim that the sneaker will be released in the summer of 2024. Until then, we can enjoy the look of the original from 2009.
