Converse Celebrates Latin American Families with the "Mi Gente" Collection

Converse shows a little love for Latin American families with its new "Mi Gente" collection. It's always inspiring when brands celebrate cultural heritage. With this collection, Converse pays homage to the strength, optimism and hard work that Latin American families value. The four-piece collection consists of two limited edition shoes, the Converse One Star Pro "Mi Gente" and the Chuck Taylor All Star "Mi Gente".

The One Star Pro features a tongue graphic inspired by the black butterfly, while the Chuck Taylor All Star highlights the healing properties of plants with motifs of chamomile, aloe and lime leaves. Both shoes feature "sana sana" lace locks, an encouraging Latin American saying.

The limited edition "Mi Gente" Standard GRX Tee is inspired by herbal remedies and the Loose GRX Tee features precious symbols and gems from Latin American culture to signify safety. Skateboarder Erik Herrera, along with his family, plays an important role in Converse's latest campaign for this collection. He emphasises the importance of community and cultural roots. He sees his heritage as a source of inspiration for music and fashion and wants to celebrate the tradition, strength and optimism of the Latino community. You can order the "Mi Gente" collection and the By You option on converse.com from 15 September.
