Sandy Bodecker Had Her Own "Be True To Your School" Nike Dunk High

The origins of the Nike Dunk High are closely linked to the Be True To Your School package, as the collegiate colourways were among the first releases of the Peter Moore-designed shoe. What we didn't know, however, was that Rodney Tallmann owned a very special pair, given to him by none other than the legendary Sandy Bodecker in 1985, before the collection's debut. The story of this unique Nike Dunk High is simply fascinating.

The Nike Dunk High "Be True To Your School" by Sandy Bodecker differs from the BTTYS Pack Dunk sneakers by its colour block design. Here, a deep wine red is used on all parts of the upper except the Swoosh, which is a yellow tone. The shoe is unique and special. The adjacent laces and Nike branding are also in yellow, while the tongue and midsole are in white. The outsole, on the other hand, is designed in a similar shade of red as the rest of the shoe, but a little paler. After almost four decades, the Bodecker Vintage sneaker is now being auctioned on eBay.com and the proceeds will go to the Bodecker Foundation, which is a good cause.
