After returning to Nike last summer, former two-sport star and current coach of the University of Colorado football team, Deion Sanders, proudly shows off some of his upcoming signature products. An Instagram clip of Sanders today confirms the return of the long-awaited Nike Air DT Max '96 (also known as the Diamond Turf 3), one of his most memorable signature models. Although the Air DT Max '96 has seen numerous reissues since its debut in 1996, the face logo on the sole of the original has been missing in recent years. However, Sanders' video confirms that this detail will return with the 2024 retro version.

The wait for the Nike Air DT Max '96 Retro seems endless, but fans can at least look forward to cleated versions of the original Air Diamond Turf. It was reported that Sanders wore an updated version of the Air DT Max '96 with ZoomX cushioning on the sidelines, but that pair is reserved for the coach for now. Interestingly, Sanders' "PRIME" logo will only be seen on the heel of the Friends & Family pairs, while the retail version will be a faithful reproduction of the original. So we'll have to be patient until we see the retro style in shops in the summer 2024 collection.
