The partnership aims to develop the sport of basketball for future generations, with initiatives such as the Jr. NBA and Jr. WNBA programmes, as well as an increased focus on women's basketball. Nike will also play a key role in major events such as the NBA All-Star and WNBA Changemakers.

The 12-year extension of the partnership between Nike and the NBA, WNBA and NBA G League runs through 2037 and begins after the end of the current 2023-24 season.
