‘Queens & Kings": The adidas Superstar that only the chosen ones are allowed to wear

The Whitaker Group, led by James Whitner, continues to champion underrepresented voices in arts and culture. The expansion of 38a Gallery from Pittsburgh to Charlotte sets the stage for ‘Queens & Kings: A Tale of Two Cities’ - a travelling exhibition highlighting minority artists.

To celebrate this special moment, the Whitaker Group has collaborated with adidas to design an exclusive Superstar. The ‘Queens & Kings’ edition features a black and white design inspired by playing cards. Special details such as the ‘Q’ and ‘K’ back tabs, card-based insoles, high-quality embossed leather and thick herringbone laces set the tone. Lettering such as ‘To the Queens + Kings’ on the tongue and the 38a logo round off the design.

The sneaker is not available in stores and was instead given away to selected creatives and contributors as a token of appreciation.

The 38a x adidas Superstar ‘Queens & Kings’ will not be available in stores. The exhibition itself starts on 15 November 2024 in Charlotte and runs until 6 December 2024 before moving on to Pittsburgh from 13 to 30 December 2024.

Unfortunately, this limited Superstar edition will not be available to the general public. But stay tuned to platforms like Grailify in case there are any changes to the exclusivity.
