The Air Max 95 is a classic with cult status – and has been for three decades. In the new ‘Big Bubble’ version with striking Bright Ceramic accents and a nostalgic 2000s vibe, Nike takes the iconic silhouette to a new level. When Sergio Lozano designed the Air Max 95 in 1995, it immediately caused a sensation. Inspired by human anatomy – the spine, muscles, ribs – it was the first Nike shoe with a visible Air element in the forefoot. It also had an aggressive, stacked look that remains unique to this day. In the world of trainers, the AM95 has long been a symbol of bold design, comfort and functionality.

The new version stays true to the original DNA, but brings modern materials and fresh colour accents into play:

Visually, the shoe mixes black, summit white, metallic silver and light graphite – perfectly matched with orange highlights.

The term ‘Big Bubble’ describes a particularly large, visible Air element in the midsole – larger than in conventional Air Max models. This feature was first celebrated in the legendary Air Max 1 '86, which heralded a new era of visible cushioning. Nike is now revisiting this approach with the Air Max 95 ‘Bright Ceramic’: the striking Air units in the forefoot and heel areas are not only a visual highlight, but also offer noticeably more comfort. The result is an extremely cushioned running experience with retro flair – ideal for anyone who loves trainers that combine the past with performance.

Anyone familiar with the Air Max 1 or Air Max 90 will quickly notice the difference with the Air Max 95: the 95 looks significantly bulkier on the foot and offers considerably more cushioning, especially in the forefoot area. This is due to the visible Air Units, which are not only located in the heel but also under the ball of the foot – a detail that sets the 95 apart from many other models. In direct comparison to the Air Max 97, which has a rather narrow and aerodynamic design, the AM95 appears more robust and structured. For anyone who values comfort, support and a striking silhouette, this shoe is the ideal choice.

The Air Max 95 Big Bubble fits true to size but is slightly tighter on the foot, especially in the toe area. If you prefer a looser fit or more space in the front, you should definitely try half a size larger. Otherwise, thanks to its proven Air cushioning, it offers a comfortable fit with solid stability and long-lasting comfort.

The Nike Air Max 95 ‘Big Bubble’ in Bright Ceramic is a successful homage to the early 2000s without straying too far from the classic design. For fans of the model, it's a no-brainer – and for those just getting started, it's a perfect introduction to the Air Max world with character, comfort and history.
