Jordan Brand Supports Filipino Students with Wings Scholars Program
The six Filipino students who will participate in the Wings Scholars Program in 2022 are truly an inspiring group. Their hard work and dedication has earned them a four-year full scholarship to the Ateneo de Manila University through Jordan Brand Wings.
This is particularly remarkable as many of these young people come from backgrounds where there are few opportunities for higher education. Working with the non-governmental organisation Bahay Tuluyan, Jordan Brand Wings sifted through an impressive field of over 400 applicants and selected these six students whose stories show what it means to strive for excellence.
"Commitment to basketball culture is central to Jordan Brand," said Craig Williams, President of Jordan Brand. "And when you think about the community in Manila that shows so much love for the game, it only makes sense that we bring Jordan Wings to them to extend that spirit of excellence."
Despite their difficult circumstances, they now have access to a brighter future made possible by the educational opportunities provided by this incredible programme. Congratulations to Jordan Brand Wings for this impactful initiative, and we wish the six scholarship recipients the best of luck in their pursuit of higher education!
