Above the Clouds Delivers a Stunning Makeover for the ASICS GT-2160

Above the Clouds and ASICS have teamed up to create a stunning collaboration for the GT-2160. The shoes feature unique materials and bold embellishments and were originally launched in 2011 as a budget alternative to the more expensive Kayano running shoes. They have since evolved into a casual casual shoe and have already been reinterpreted by notable designers such as Cecillie Bahnsen and Dime.
 
The Above the Clouds x ASICS GT-2160 is simply complicated. The shoe comes in a mix of shimmering metallic silver, a duo of earthy greens and a cool blue that is somewhere between sky and sea. The upper is also an interesting mix of materials with a standard mesh collar and heel contrasting with a transparent TPE midsection and toe box. Rounding out the details are cream laces, a bronze lace holder and a custom branded insole. 
 
This collaboration marks Above the Clouds' third collaboration with ASICS. At this time, there is no official release date or pricing information for the Above the Clouds x ASICS GT-2160, but it is likely that more information will be released soon.
