The second-best pick in 2021, Jalen Green has made a name for himself in the NBA and is now the third player of Filipino descent in the league. Since his appearance in the pros, he has proudly cultivated his Southeast Asian roots. Last summer, he travelled to Manila for a tour with adidas and the popular brand is now once again honouring Green's cultural background with a colourful tribute in the form of the adidas BYW Select at the start of "AAPI Heritage Month".
 
The Lightstrike padded combination is not only functional, but also eye-catching! With a mismatch design inspired by the colours of the Philippine flag, the right shoe features a bright "Vivid Red" and the left shoe a striking "Royal Blue". The laces and loops are in the other colour and a touch of bright yellow adorns the sole and lining. The clear white overlaying the neoprene at the heel and the BOOST midsole brings everything into line. Release details are unfortunately still unknown, but it is expected to drop on May 15th in selected regions.
