adidas introduces the Ultraboost 5

adidas has unveiled the highly anticipated Ultraboost 5, marking the most significant redesign of the series since its debut in 2015. The new Ultraboost 5 is designed to offer maximum energy return for runners and combines innovative technologies with a fresh look.

The Ultraboost 5 features a new LIGHT BOOST™ midsole with 9mm more foam than previous models, offering improved responsiveness and cushioning in the heel and midfoot. This setup provides 2% more energy recovery in the forefoot, allowing runners to cover more distance with the same amount of energy. In addition, the shoe features a redesigned Primeknit upper that is knitted tighter in high-wear zones and looser in lower-wear areas to improve breathability and fit.

The design features a colour combination of white and "Glory Grey" with vibrant "Spark Orange" and "Lucid Pink" accents that reflect the shoe's energy boost. Complementing the visual appeal, the Ultraboost 5 integrates a high grade Continental rubber outsole for superior grip and durability.

Simon Lockett, adidas' Footwear Product Marketing Category Director, highlighted the impact of the Ultraboost range: "82% of testers said they favoured the energy return of this model over their own shoes, and 70% said they had more fun running. That's always been the superpower of the Ultraboost."
