Air Jordan 4 "Encore": Eminem's rarity at Sotheby's auction

Auction house Sotheby's will be auctioning off one of the rarest releases of the Air Jordan 4 silhouette. One of the most coveted additions to many collections is Eminem's "Encore" AJ4. The shoe was a 2005 collaboration between Eminem and Nike, and the sneaker quickly became one of the more unique versions of the silhouette, releasing in a blue, red and black colorway that was an exclusive release and paid homage to the Detroit rapper's Encore album. With only 50 pairs given out to friends and family, one of those pairs has been signed by Eminem in size 10.5 and has made its way to auction.

The Air Jordan 4 "Encore" features blue synthetic nubuck uppers as well as black mesh on the tongue and center panel. The black laces complement the wings, while the Jumpman logo is adorned in red on the heel and tongue. Eminem has signed both shoes with a "2005" inscription, giving the release a personal touch. Anyone interested in the shoe can view it at Sotheby's, where it is now up for auction. Due to its rarity and popularity, it is estimated at USD 40,000 to 60,000. At the time of writing, the current bid for the shoe is USD 30,000.
