An Air Jordan 12 Is Added to the "25 Years in China" Collection
Jordan Brand has been selling its hip items in China for 25 years. The inaugural year, 1997, coincided with a time when the Air Jordan 12 was still new on shelves and thus had a special connection to the country. Now, fans of the silhouette can enjoy the model once more, as an Air Jordan 12 "25 Years in China" has been announced.
The pair celebrates the festivities in China with a contrasting colourway that closely resembles the "Taxi" AJ12. White and black dominate on the upper, with white hitting the tumbled leather base and black appearing on the mudguards. Further adjustments are made with the white tongues, including the laces and black eyelets.
The outsoles and insoles are particularly striking. The former featured sketches of the Air Jordan 12 and outsoles and heel tabs glow in "University Gold". Lastly, "25 Years in China" heel tabs complete the overall design.
