ASICS GEL-Lyte V "Material Play" Pack Brings a Breath of Fresh Air to the Classics

In recent years, ASICS has established itself as an important player in the sneaker market. While the GEL-Lyte series was a big part of their success for a long time, models like the GEL-Kayano 14 and the Sportstyle line created by designer Kiko Kostadinov are also in high demand today. Even though it receives far fewer releases than its two-piece counterpart, the GEL-Lyte V has received a lot of attention throughout 2023. ASICS is expanding the silhouette of the inline catalogue for the second half of the year, releasing the "Material Play" package. As the name suggests, the collection experiments heavily with textures, replacing the sneaker's usual fabrics and materials with a range of different textiles. Leather, TPU and an array of bright accents accompany it, leading to two distinct but complementary colourways.
