ASICS Turns to atmos for a Tokyo-and-NYC-Subways-Inspired GEL-LYTE III Capsule

The two-piece atmos x ASICS GEL-LYTE III "Subway" Pack will unfortunately only be released in selected regions. Both the atmos x ASICS GEL-LYTE III "NYC Subway" and the "Tokyo Subway" will drop this month at atmos-tokyo.com.

Every year, collaborations with big-name labels are an important part of ASICS' product strategy. The sporting goods manufacturer has been going full throttle on all fronts, as most recently ASICS unveiled a multi-part collaboration with the hit anime series Naruto Shippuden, as well as two collaborative sneakers with GmbH.

Today, another project has been presented, but this time ASICS turns to atmos. Together, they are dropping two GEL-LYTE III’s inspired by Tokyo and NYC Subways. The entire upper of both shoes features Google Maps-like train lines and is made of premium leather.

The atmos x ASICS GEL-LYTE III "NYC Subway" offers a slight contrast with the colourful tiger stripes, while the atmos x ASICS GEL-LYTE III "Tokyo Subway" features navy logos and kanji lettering on the toeboxes. The former also has a white midsole, and the Japanese-inspired sneaker has a cream midsole.

You can preview the first image of the atmos x ASICS GEL-LYTE III "Subway" capsule here before it is released in the next few days. Unfortunately, the size of the release is not yet known, but some pairs will possibly be released in Europe as well.
