Austin Reaves' journey to becoming a full-fledged NBA star has been an inspiring one. Despite going undrafted at Wichita State and Oklahoma, the Los Angeles Lakers guard is now getting his own signature shoe. Rumour has it that he has signed with the Chinese shoe label Rigorer.
He joins the ranks of Wade, Thompson and Hayward, who have also been successful for Chinese brands. This season, Reaves is averaging an impressive 12.4 points, 3.12 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game, as well as a 51.9% field goal percentage and 38.3% from distance.
His presence in the Lakers' rotation continues to grow, which has led to the Lakers having one of their most successful seasons to date. To honour his success and popularity, Reaves will release his own signature shoe, the Rigorer AR1, later this summer. This makes him only the second current Laker to release an exclusive sneaker, rounding off a fantastic year for Reaves in LA.
