Axel Arigato, the Swedish footwear label known for combining contemporary style with classic inspirations, has expanded its shoe family with the Onyx. This latest silhouette draws heavily on the rugged styles of 1980s basketball shoes and draws on the heritage of icons such as the Nike Air Force 1 and the adidas Superstar.

The Onyx line comes in four different colourways. The upper is made of white premium leather with artfully notched insides and mesh details. The sneakers feature a yellowed, chunky midsole for a vintage aesthetic, complemented by bold "ARIGATO" branding and two-tone soles that make a strong statement of retro and contemporary fashion sensibilities.

The Onyx will be available in stores and online on the official Axel Arigato website from 15 March.
