Bode x Nike Astro Grabber Dropping Soon

Update 09.04.2024

Inspired by Bode founder Emily Bode Aujla's strong connection to team sports and the legacy of the coach-athlete relationship, the collection aims to bring a playful attitude to sportswear and inspire reflection on family stories and the core values of sport. The collection includes eight garments and one shoe, the Nike Astrograbber, in the colours black and cream. The shoe, once an innovation for artificial turf, symbolises a turning point in the history of Nike and American sport in the 1970s. The collection will be available from 18 April on bode.com and in selected Bode stores and from 1 May at SNKRS and selected Nike retailers.

Update 04.04.2024

The Italian retailer Antonioli has now published the product photos. The sneakers are said to be dropping there on 1 May for around €170. You can find the link to the shop above.

Update 14.03.2024

Bode has now confirmed the second Nike Astro Grabber via Instagram. A release date is still pending, but both colourways will allegedly drop in March 2024.

Bode is an American luxury brand known for its quilted or patched clothing. In the latest lookbook, we have now noticed that a Nike Astro Grabber is part of the collection.

Apparently, the Beaverton-based brand and the New York fashion brand have teamed up for a one-off release and chosen this previously lesser-known Astro Grabber as the canvas for their collaboration.

The Astro Grabber first appeared in the 1970s and has remained lost ever since. We also had to dig deep into history to find this model again.

As one of Nike's earliest models, the football boot was designed by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman and features a waffle outsole that was specially developed for playing on artificial turf.

When will the Bode x Nike Astro Grabber drop?

The images are from the current lookbook for autumn 2024, so we can assume that the shoe will only be released in limited quantities in the second half of the year.

We will of course keep you up to date!
