Until recently, the Balenciaga brand might not have been known to too many people. It wasn't until 2017 that the Balenciaga Triple S established the very controversial "dad shoe" trend that so many other brands are now building on. But what actually happened before that? Did this name come out of nowhere and manage to generate hype right away? That's not quite right, because the brand Balenciaga exists now for almost 100 years. Yes, that's right! That's quite a long time to this immense breakthrough. But the company is not just any no-name cheap brand, because already since 1919 this name stands for absolute luxury. The namesake Cristobal Balenciaga founded the spanish label and was thus just in the fashion world a very important name. Even the great Cristian Dior called him the "master of us all".

But in the meantime, Balenciaga has long since ceased to be just a term for true fashion victims, and since 2017 has also manifested itself in the sneaker world. However, it's hard to forget that the label was originally conceived as a pure luxury brand. Thus, the Balenciaga Triple S always has at least a retail price of around 550€. After all, we all agree that the sneakers from the house of Balenciaga are quite controversial shoes. Some celebrate it, while others detest it. But maybe we can get you on the hypetrain with the following colorways and you might even like one or two of the releases.

The Balenciaga Triple S White Ecru updates the label's successful model and gives the shoe a completely new upper. Of course, we don't have to waive the usual premium materials, because anything else would be a bit odd at this price. Thus, it is equipped with high-quality calfskin, nubuck leather and mesh material. The colorway modifies the shoe we know a bit, but the typical signature sole remains of course. Due to the very subtle color scheme in very simple cream white, this release is perhaps more for the minimalists among you!

The Balenciaga Speed Trainer Black Red is a rather classic color mix, which has often been dropped in slightly modified form. But no matter in which version it already saw the light of day, it was always successful and in most cases immediately sold-out. The same of course applies to the upcoming Black Red colorway. The upper is kept completely in black and rounded off by the white Balenciaga branding. To create a nice contrast to the upper, the sneaker is equipped with the classic white outsole. Beautiful accents are formed here by the red elements on the outsole of the shoe. They complete the quite discreet design very well and underline the very contrasting color scheme once again. As always, we also have a recommendation for people who like to stand out with their shoes.

The Balenciaga Speed Trainer Neon Yellow trumps with a very bright neon yellow and is therefore anything but discreet. The outsole is still kept in the typical white and harmonizes quite well with the crazy color of the upper. This colorway is definitely different from what Balenciaga is used to and can perhaps inspire one or the other!
