Moon Boot is a brand that combines iconic design, nostalgia and functionality. The brand was originally founded in the early 1970s by Italian designer Giancarlo Zanatta and was directly inspired by the 1969 moon landing – hence the name. The boots had a truly revolutionary look at the time. The thick soles, the distinctive lacing system – all of this has shaped the style of après-ski fashion for decades.

What makes Moon Boot so special is the combination of futuristic design and comfort. The models are water-repellent, warmly lined and offer optimal protection from the cold thanks to their lightweight, insulating materials. Today, the brand is no longer known only for its functional winter sports equipment, but has developed into a real fashion statement. Especially in recent years, they have become very trendy again – thanks to fashion influencers, celebrities and street style icons worldwide.

Modern interpretations such as slim cuts, metallic finishes and collaborations with high-fashion brands show how versatile the brand has become without losing its retro charm.

Moon Boot has long been more than just a classic après-ski boot – the brand has developed into a real fashion phenomenon. It is particularly exciting to see how Moon Boot is reinterpreting its style through collaborations. In 2024, it teamed up with adidas: the Moon Boot x adidas Moonboost High was released in ‘Power Blue’ and ‘Core Black’. Both models featured the typical Moon Boot shape and innovative Boost cushioning from adidas and cost €220 each.

2025 will see another real highlight: the Guest in Residence x Moon Boot ‘Icon Post’ for €250. It will be released on 14 November. The collaboration with Gigi Hadid's label brings luxurious knit textures, muted colours and elegant details to the iconic shape – perfect for the modern winter look.

With projects like this, Moon Boot shows that the brand not only outlasts trends, but actively shapes them.
