The latest offshoot of the New Balance 2002R "Protection Pack", first introduced in mid-July, is set to be released by Concepts on 21 September and will then be available worldwide. To build anticipation for the four pairs in the pack, Concepts has released images from a shoot that took place at the renowned Boston Athenaeum. The museum and private library is dedicated to the preservation and conservation of art, literature and other archival materials from the 19th century to the present day. This aesthetic backdrop perfectly reflects the philosophy of the Protection Pack, which embodies a blend of modern design and functionality through its design sophistication and innovative technology.

New Balance has taken a more technically advanced approach for its latest Protection Pack shoes. Inspired by the popular MR2002 high-end running shoe from 2010, the four new pairs in 'Sail', 'Navy', 'Tan' and 'Olive' feature a ripstop base layer and toggle laces for added durability and a unique aesthetic. The coveted sneakers will sell for $180 USD per pair and will initially be available on Concepts' official website from 21 September, before being released worldwide on New Balance's official website.
