Derek Curry of Sneaker Politics Is Inspired By His Military Service and Designs an ASICS GEL-Lyte III

Sneaker Politics founder Derek Curry started with one shop in 2006 and has since opened several outlets across the South. He even expanded to Texas. His next expansion, however, is not a new store, but a new collaboration. With the new Sneaker Politics x ASICS GEL-Lyte III, the founder remembers his military service.

Both the upper and the details are reminiscent of field gear. The sneaker is made of suede and canvas, with the buttery soft suede covering the overlays and the canvas creating a sturdy base. The black tiger stripes extend between the panels across the sides, and the heels are refined with signature military patches.

Additionally, the Sneaker Politics x ASICS GEL-Lyte III comes with cracked features in the front part. The right and left toebox allude to the United States, for which Derek Curry fought. Then at the end, Sneaker Politics' signature "P" logos on the backs round out the overall design.

The Sneaker Politics x ASICS GEL-Lyte III May Also Be Released Here

The Sneaker Politics x ASICS GEL-Lyte III will be released by Sneaker Politics on May 30th. But there is also a drop at asics.com. Check the online shop if you want the sneakers.
