Extra Butter co-founders Ankur and Nick Amin wanted to pay tribute to the sport and the legendary Indian cricketers who have shaped the game. As the 2023 Cricket World Cup approaches, the release of the "Cableknit 2.0" sneaker couldn't be more fitting.
The shoes include references to India such as the first appearance of the adidas name in Hindi on the upper. To complete the outfit, there is a matching clothing collection that includes a club jacket, trousers, a waistcoat, a long-sleeved Cableknit jumper, T-shirts and hats. Extra Butter creative director Bernie Gross said he enjoyed delving deeper into cricket culture, although he didn't know much about it before. The sneaker will be available at Extra Butter India on 4 November for INR 13,500.
