For Air Max Day 2022, This Nike Air Max 1 "City Of Light" Drops
This year is a very special year because Nike's legendary Air Max technology is celebrating an anniversary. In 2022, the cushioning will be an incredible 35 years old. The sporting goods manufacturer is celebrating this, of course, and is therefore dropping a massive lineup for Air Max Day 2022, which includes this Nike Air Max 1 "City Of Light".
The newly surfaced pair has now been shared for the first time by insiders like @wideawakearthquake. Of course, we immediately took the opportunity to take a look at the close-ups. At first glance, the clean look of the Nike Air Max 1 "City Of Light" is immediately striking. A large part of the upper designed by Tinker Hatfield is in "off-white" or white.
But other colour tones such as grey and navy blue can also be found on the shoe. The tongues contrast in navy blue and have special "3.26" markings that point to Air Max Day. A big highlight are the overlays with an iridescent effect and used especially for the 35th birthday.
Apparently, the Nike Air Max 1 "City Of Light" also celebrates Paris, the City of Light. Both the inner soles of the sneakers and the special shoe box bear the words "La Ville-Lumière", referring to the French city's reputation as the City of Light. The package also includes a silver chain and a transparent outsole with further lettering.
