The Chinese Lunar New Year happens in January this year and heralds the Year of the Rabbit. Nike hasn’t given any details yet, but we suspect that the sporting goods manufacturer will celebrate the festival with a special sneaker this time as well. Insiders claim that it will be a Dunk High in a festive colourway with new details.
If the leaks are true, we can expect a bright Nike Dunk High in "Summit White". It's also made of leather and suede, with the sturdy leather in white and suede appearing on the overlays. Nike adds further accents with "Evergreen" in the lining and on the heel tabs.
This is followed by gold tones on the tongues and heel area. The most striking feature is the mountain artwork on the side heel. It matches the colour of the tongue and the text "多金山" (golden mountain). At the very bottom, a crisp white midsole and an icy outsole round off the overall design of the Nike Dunk High "Lunar New Year".
