Happy99 and Reebok bring back the 90s gaming and anime culture

The Happy99 brand has collaborated with Reebok to create two special Instapump Fury 95s inspired by 90s gaming and anime culture. Originally conceived as a digital "love project between two artists and designers at a distance", Happy99 was a virtual shoe concept that was uploaded to Instagram and generated a lot of interest. Now it has finally become a reality and the two designers Nathalie Nguyen and Dominic Lopez are overjoyed that their dream has finally come true. "When we started "H99", we used the website to showcase our own 3D shoe concepts, so it's a real full circle experience for us to design our first shoe," says Dominic Lopez, passionate co-founder of Happy99.

The colorways "Purple/Midnight/Earth" and "Boulder Grey/Mint" are inspired by the video games and anime of the 90s. With a combination of Cordura, suede and synthetic on the upper, graphic nylon and ripstop gaiters and a custom graphic insole, these shoes are very eye-catching. But the real highlight is the pump button and bubble. The Happy99 x Reebok Instapump Fury 95 will release exclusively at Happy99 on December 15th and a worldwide release will follow on December 22nd.
