Jae Tips Uncovers a Collaborative Saucony Matrix

Renowned Bronx designer Jae Tips caused a stir at Paris Fashion Week when he unveiled his latest project: a vibrant interpretation of the classic Saucony Matrix. Known for his innovative style and successful previous collaborations, Tips brings a fresh perspective to this outdoor running shoe from the 90s.

The Jae Tips x Saucony Matrix features a rich, textured suede and mesh upper. Burgundy tones dominate the toe box and midfoot panel for a luxurious base. Tannish pink accents on the toe box, laces, inner lining and heel overlay add a soft contrast and enhance the overall aesthetic. Completing the design is a green tongue that features the Saucony logo on one shoe and Jae Tips' "Savior" logo on the other, emphasising the collaborative nature of the sneaker. A white Saucony logo on the midfoot, a pink and green midsole and a black rubber outsole complete the look.

This collaboration continues the trend of creativity and bold design seen in previous Jae Tips x Saucony releases such as the Grid Azura 2000 "Remember Who Fronted" and the Grid Shadow 2 "What's The Occasion". The Matrix draws on Saucony's late 90s and Y2K archive and combines retro aesthetics with modern touches.

The Jae Tips x Saucony Matrix is expected to release in late 2024 or early 2025.
