Two of three Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 990v4s are also dropping here in Germany. Sneakersnstuff is dropping the white and black colorways on December 19 for €240 each.

Back in September, Joe Freshgoods teamed up with New Balance to design the limited edition 650 model. Now the Chicago-based designer has collaborated again with the Boston-based footwear brand to create a new collection of 990v4s inspired by Hype Williams' 1998 American crime drama "Belly". Freshgoods posted official images of the new shoes on Instagram, calling them Intro & Keisha Blue & Outro "1998". In contrast to his usual colourful designs, this time the designer has opted for a more muted colour palette, with the "Intro" and "Outro" models featuring different mixes of black, white and grey. The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 990v4 "Keisha Blue", on the other hand, is a monochrome blue colour.

 

Mesh, suede and leather elements harmonise perfectly with each other and make these trainers a real eye-catcher. The "JFG" logo on the side heel is particularly eye-catching, replacing the typical 990 design. Special details can also be found on the back of the shoe: the year "1998" and the words "Made in the U.S.A." can be found here. The accompanying collection also includes various items of clothing inspired by popular streetwear styles from the period in which the film by the famous director Williams was shot. An official release date for the collection has not yet been set, but fans can look forward to a launch later this year.
