Jordan Brand Presents the 8×8 Collection from 8 Collaborators
Jordan Brand simply has a knack for coming up with extraordinary collections. The Fearless Ones collection was already amazing. Now, we can look forward to a new collab with the Jumpman.
The inspiration for this collection is once again as crazy as we know it straight from Jordan Brand. The 8×8 collection uses the colours of the Chicago Transit Line and puts the specific details of the city on the sneakers as well as on the apparel.
And, most people can probably already guess the release date. That's right—the Jordan Brand 8×8 collection drops on the NBA All-Star Weekend of 2020. Chicago's most creative minds are getting together to create what is probably the most intense collab we'll ever see this year. To do so, famous designers such as Virgil Abloh, Cody Hudson, Drew the Barber, and Sheila Rashid, as well as other inspiring characters, are all joining forces.
Let's take a closer look at the Jordan Brand 8×8 collection.
The Chicago Transit Line consists of a total of 8 colours: red, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple, pink, and brown. In the collection, Virgil Abloh makes use of the red line. He is currently working on the Off White x Air Jordan 5, which has been discussed on the net for months now, as well as a jacket, tee, hoodie, and boiler suit.
The green line consists of the Air Jordan 10 "Wings", which has also been recently seen. Additionally, it has a Wings hoodie and a long sleeve shirt to match.
The yellow line is taken over by SucceZZ. Founders Lavelle Sykes and Bobby Simmons opened their streetwear boutique SucceZZ 12 years ago. The SucceZZ 8×8 collection includes a SucceZZ hoodie and long sleeve shirt too.
Chance the Rapper goes on the blue Chicago Transit Line. With his the SocialWorks 8×8 collection, he pays tribute to the social workers in Chicago. The collection also includes an AJKO, a hoodie, and a long sleeve shirt.
Yesterday, the official pictures of Sheila Rashid x Air Jordan 1 Mid were released. Today, we already know that she is part of the 8×8 collection. Her AJ1 Mid, hoodie, and long sleeve shirt, obviously take over the purple line.
The pink line is led by the Lyrical Lemonade. In this collection, we find a Jordan Aerospace 720 Lyrical Lemonade, hoodie, and long sleeve shirt.
Drew the Barber has hosted several NBA stars. In his brown Drew the Barber line, we also find a hoodie and a long sleeve shirt.
Finally, Cody Hudson's orange hoodie and long sleeve shirt take over the orange Chicago Transit Line. The sculptor and founder of Struggle, Inc. was in fact inspired by the graphics.
The entire Jordan Brand 8×8 collection will be released worldwide on February 15th. We’re 100% that it’s going to be one really hot launch.
