Kito Wares Polarises with a Pious Air Jordan 3 "Mother Mary"

Streetwear label Kito Wares is back and polarising with another pious sneaker. After designing the Air Jordan 1 Low "Passion of Christ", designer David Morris now uses the Air Jordan 3 with a Christian "Mother Mary" theme to push the discussion on the idolisation of brands.

For the sacred theme, Kito Wares uses a white tumbled leather and puts the portrait of the Virgin Mary on the sides. The printed overlays then add more colour to the sneaker, while keeping the soles, tongues, and collar clean. Other highlights on this Christian iconography include the crosses on the midsole, heel, and tongue.

David Norris of Kito Wares gives the custom shoes a religious symbolism. It represents the tendency of sneakerheads to blindly worship brands. In addition, the sneakers come with a special shoebox containing a candle inspired by Mary's "Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows".

Kito Wares has announced the drop of the Air Jordan 3 "Mother Mary" for October 29th at 23:00 CEST. The sneakers will cost around 150€, and there might be additional costs for delivery. You can find the link to the shop here.
