Limited Release of the GT-2160 "SHAO JI"

ASICS and COSTS have teamed up once again, this time for the GT-2160 "SHAO JI" - a sporty silhouette in a subtle oatmeal colourway, accented with various co-branded elements. This latest release follows an early August collaboration that saw the pair release the "Cane Vine", a nature-inspired pair with significant Cantonese expressions. Strikingly, the "SHAO JI" moves away from the outdoor aesthetic and instead adopts a more urban style. The GT-2160 "SHAO JI" features a breathable mesh upper inspired by the knitted style of "SHAO JI", a traditional Chinese weaving technique.

The elegant Oatmeal colour design is highlighted by the Indigo Blue, which is cleverly placed on different parts of the shoe. The embroidery and the Chinese characters "筲箕" on the main eyelet tabs in the centre of the tongue are particularly eye-catching. The sole is also a colourful expression of indigo blue. The co-branding on the laces, tongue and insole make this shoe an unmistakable highlight. The sneakers are already online in the COSTS online shop, while other regions will drop the sneaker on 28 November. Europe is probably not one of them.
