Marimekko Gives the adidas Superstar Its Signature Poppy Print

For some time now, Finnish label Marimekko has been collaborating with adidas, and together, they are bringing the popular poppy pattern to over 100 jumpers, trousers, sneakers, and other accessories. Next, Marimekko turns its full attention to the adidas Superstar, bringing the artful print to the silhouette.

You might now expect a totally over-the-top Marimekko x adidas Superstar, but for the collaborative version, only a small part will feature the label's pattern. Only the side stripes and heel tabs come with the legendary poppy print. A light cream and black background will be used.

The rest of the Marimekko x adidas Superstar is reminiscent of the OG. The side panels and adidas' distinctive shell toe remain clean, while the tongues feature gold co-branding. Elsewhere, gold "SUPERSTAR" lettering revels on the sides, and the soles remain white.
