MSCHF Now Also Launches a Big Black Boot?!

On Instagram, MSCHF confirmed the release of the Big Red Boots "Black". They will drop on 26 October.

MSCHF is at it again, releasing something new for the third time: the Big Black Boot. The successor to the Big Red Boot released in February and the Big Red Boot (Yellow) launched in August in collaboration with Crocs, it is the most low-key model in the tall rubber boot trilogy so far. Independent brand MSCHF once again collaborated with influencers to showcase the footwear. Users were able to get a glimpse of the official packaging. Interestingly, the MSCHF Big Black Boot comes with a brand card that says "Patent Pending". This may have something to do with the numerous counterfeits that have been circulating in the market since the Brooklyn-based studio launched the red boots. At the time of writing, MSCHF had not confirmed a release date, but it is possible that the pitch-black pair will launch on Black Friday (24 November).

After the very successful launch of the Big Red Boot, we also saw a leak of a yellow boat pretty quickly. But that was probably not enough. MSCHF has now even officially confirmed the Big Black Boot!

This sneaker was definitely not designed for everyday wear, but only to attract attention. The huge boot, which is made of a plush full-foam construction, not only goes beyond the heels but even almost to the knees. We actually thought that the red boot was the end of the line. The joke was funny and the marketing and hype definitely brought attention. But you could already tell at the resell that the shoe was perhaps too extreme for people to buy it to wear. So the shoe was even cheaper in the resell than in retail.

And now to bring out a yellow or black version? Who knows. We'll definitely take a closer look.
