The second part of the New Balance 2002R "Protection Pack" has arrived much earlier. Selected retailers like AFEW have already confirmed the pack for April 1st. Only a few saw it coming, but the New Balance 2002R "Refined Future" collection - better known as the "Protection Pack" - was a huge success. The three-piece capsule first appeared in August 2021 at New Balance and selected retailers. Now, it looks like the sporting goods manufacturer will be dropping more iterations. That's because today, these colourways have been spotted.
The New Balance 2002R "Protection Pack" will be supplemented by a navy blue and a classic "Steel Blue" version. Some pictures have already been published by insiders, which we now show you here.
Both the navy blue and the grey-blue New Balance 2002R "Protection Pack" retain the aesthetic of the worn look that designer Yue Wu has referenced. The collar, toebox, and midfoot are made of ripped suede. Then, underneath the layer, contrasting mesh inserts complement the leather, while underfoot is an updated NERGY cushioning system. The soles also have the aged look, adding to the illusion.
Don't Miss the Release of the Next New Balance 2002R "Protection Pack"
Currently, only these images of the latest New Balance 2002R "Protection Pack" have been uploaded. A release date does not exist yet. However, a drop in the second half of the year is suspected.
