New Balance Confirms Four New 2002R "Protection Pack" with Ripstop Base

The 2002R "Protection Pack" from New Balance is a classic that is hard to beat. Almost a year has passed since the last re-release, but fans can look forward to four new colourways, all with upgrades that make them stand out from the crowd. Each colourway includes the popular "ripstop" design that gives the shoes a lightweight and durable look.

Each pair of the New Balance 2002R "Protection Pack" is constructed - or rather deconstructed - in the same way as its predecessors and features uniquely cut panels that extend across the entire shoe. However, these overlays here are made of leather instead of suede and the mesh upper has been replaced with a more robust ripstop fabric. Elsewhere, the lacing has been reworked, replacing the traditional lacing with a toggle system. Here you can take a closer look at the four versions with the official pictures. They will be available soon on newbalance.com and at selected retailers.
